1976 barbie – would she be worth anything?
my little sister picked up a barbie doll at a boot sale today for 50p, she looked fairly old by the outfit she was wearing. I looked on her neck and its says shes from 1976! I believe barbie started in 1959, but she has 1966 on her torso as it’s copyrighted from that year onwards, so competitors couldn’t steal her iconic figure. I wondered if she’d be worth anything? Her thumbs have slight damage and she doesnt have shoes, but her hair, dress and body are immaculate! She also has her original ring, necklace and earrings, and i think its something to have kept those tiny things for 35 years! I remember i always used to lose my barbie and bratz earrings and shoes and clothes, they’re so small and once their in the carpet, they’re lost!
