I say, didn’t the Queen attend to matters in a proper and dignified fashion during that whole Diana business?
I was indulging in some verbal badinage the other evening with a dear friend of mine when we got to talking about the week following the Spencer woman’s expiration.
Now, being a devout Royalist I had to defend our dearly beloved Queen’s actions during that embarrassing week when some people quite lost the run of themselves and acted in quite the most improper and undignified way. HM Queen Elizabeth II observed the Royal protocol by the book and should have been commended for it instead of being treasonously hounded by the gutter red-top press to get all ‘touchy feely’ about the occasion.
My so-called friend who had the temerity to criticise our wonderful Queen received a swift bunch of fives from yours truly. I will not have anybody say a word against her.
